Day 1 & 2

We'll begin our tour with 2 boat sessions. Our experienced, U.S.C.G certified, licensed and insured boat captain will maneuver us safely to the rookery. While at the rookery, you'll have the opportunity to photography many species including but not limited to:

  • Nesting Rosette Spoonbills
  • Nesting Black-crown Herons
  • Reddish Egret (Adults & Juveniles)
  • Oystercatchers
  • Nesting Brown Pelicans
  • Nesting Tri-colored Herons
  • Nesting Cormorant

  • And many more.

  • We'll also have an opportunity to photograph migratory birds by foot. Make sure to read the full itinerary for more details.

    Day 3

We'll spend day 3 photographing Burrowing Owls. I take tour participants to my favorite locations to photograph the owls up-close-and-personal. You don't want to miss this opportunity!

    Day 4

This is my opportunity to teach participants the benefits of using fill-flash. We'll drive to a specific location to learn the art and techniques required to successfully learn this amazing skill. Fill-flash changed my photography and I hope it does yours too!

In addition, we'll have an opportunity to photograph nesting birds at a very close distance.

    Day 5

We'll end the tour photographing nesting birds at a close distance. On this day you will have an opportunity to practice everything you've learned at a single location. From birds-in-flight, to using fill flash, to creating strong award-winning photograph.
