Maxis Gamez

My wife and I have had the pleasure of attending several private workshops and one group workshop (Bosque Del Apache) with Maxis over the past three years. Maxis is a great instructor, very capable and helpful to his students. He takes the time to understand each person's level of experience and helps them to maximize their capabilities and improve their photography skills. His students take first priority over any shooting he might do himself. He handles himself very well and has a great, friendly personality which makes the experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend his workshops!

I have known Maxis for over a decade and have taken several of his workshops (Spoonbills and Five Day Florida Bird Photography tour) and attended his lectures at several Foto Fest workshops. He is in a class of his own in my opinion. He is very knowledgeable on various brands of camera settings and techniques. His post processing training is outstanding and it has made a huge difference in the quality of bird photography I do now. Picture the Picture is his favorite mantra. If you want to take award winning bird photos, Maxis Gamez is the one to go to.

I took Maxis Gamez Florida Bird workshop on February 5-9, 2020. It far exceeded my expectations. Maxis was so knowledgeable and patient, the best teacher ever! Even Pat, who was more experienced than myself was so excited about the things she learned. We learned so much about shooting with manual exposure and using flash. I can still hear all his words of wisdom ringing in my ears. Not only did I learn a lot but we all bonded as a group developing friendships that will last far after the workshop is over. Thanks Maxis for an awesome 5 days.
